This study investigates the PK/PD characteristics of Levofloxacin in 11 patients with VAP.* *The study recommend the dosage of 500 mg /12 h but even with these dosages treatment failure have to be taken into account."*

In fact, the most important protective factor for clinical cure and mortality was the adequacy of initial antibiotic therapy."

Schafer JJ, et al. About this article: "This article reports the experience of 25 cases of A.baumanii VAP multiresistant to antibiotics and sensitive to tygecycline. Patients were treated with combination or in 5 cases with tygecycline alone. Tygecycline resulted clinically effective in most of then 25 cases.Tigecycline is a good antibiotic option for the treatment of VAP caused by A.baumanii multiresistant."
